Terms of Service

1. Who we are

These terms are an agreement between you and Shourya Banda, who runs Sonder (“Sonder”, “we”, “us”) from Hyderabad, Telangana, India. They cover the website at sonderai.in, the Sonder Recruit web application, the “Send to Sonder” browser extension, and the careers, intake and shortlist pages the application creates (together, the “Service”).

If you use the Service for an agency or company, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf, and “you” means that organisation. You must be at least 18 years old.

2. Your account and workspace

• Each organisation works in its own workspace. The person who creates it is the owner and manages members, billing and data.
• A paid plan covers a number of seats. Each seat is for one named person, so please don’t share sign-ins.
• Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Free trial

New workspaces get a 14-day free trial with one seat. No payment details are needed. Importing an existing desk, tracker or data needs a paid plan. When the trial ends, the workspace pauses until you choose a plan, and your trial work is kept.

4. Plans, billing and renewal

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, at the price and seat count shown at checkout. Prices are in Indian rupees.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorise a recurring monthly charge through the method you choose (UPI AutoPay, card or netbanking mandate) until you cancel. We never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
• A plan becomes active once Razorpay confirms your payment to us. Returning to Sonder from the payment page does not by itself activate a plan.
• If a renewal payment fails, Razorpay retries it and your access continues for a short grace period. If the payment still can’t be collected, the workspace pauses. Your data is kept, and you can still export it or pay to continue.
• We don’t currently charge GST. If the law requires us to in future, we’ll add it and tell you before your next renewal.
• If we change the price of your plan, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you.

5. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel anytime, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. A new subscription can get a full refund if you ask within 7 days of its first payment. The details are in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

6. Your data

• You own the data you and your team put into Sonder, including job descriptions, candidate profiles and CVs, notes and client details (“Your Data”).
• You allow us to store and process Your Data only to provide, secure and support the Service for you. We don’t sell it or use it for advertising.
• You can export Your Data at any time, including after your plan ends. You can ask us to delete your workspace, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Your responsibilities

• Candidate data. You’re responsible for having a lawful basis for the personal data you collect or upload, including any notice or consent that India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires, and for handling candidates’ requests about their data. We process that data on your behalf and will help you respond.
• Other services. If you use Sonder alongside job portals or other websites, including through the browser extension, you’re responsible for following those services’ terms.
• Messages. Emails and WhatsApp messages you send through Sonder must be lawful and relevant to the people receiving them.
• Fair use. Don’t try to access other workspaces or get around security, reverse engineer the Service, scrape or overload it, or use it for anything unlawful, harmful or infringing.

8. Scores and suggestions

Fit scores, rankings, evidence and suggested interview questions help you decide where to look first. They can be wrong. Sonder doesn’t automatically reject or advance anyone, and you remain responsible for your hiring and submission decisions. How scoring works explains the method and its limits.

9. Sonder Jobs, for job seekers

Sonder Jobs (the public job board and your candidate profile) is free for job seekers, always. By creating a profile you agree that:

• Applying shares your profile. When you apply to a role — yourself or through auto-apply — your profile, CV and verified skills go to the agency that posted it, for that role. That agency then decides what happens next and holds its own copy under its own obligations.
• Being found is a separate choice. Only if you switch on “Let agencies find me” can agencies on Sonder find your profile in Talent Search. They see your headline, skills, experience, availability and proof first; your name, contact details and CV only when they open your profile, and you can see every agency that did. You can switch it off at any time.
• Keep it true. Your profile, availability and notice period should be accurate. Skill tests must be your own work, taken without help; project submissions must be work you built. We may remove results or profiles that aren’t.
• Representation. When an agency puts you forward to a company, Sonder records it and tells you. The first agency to introduce you to a company holds that introduction for 90 days unless you tell us you didn’t agree to it. Agree to be represented only by agencies you’ve actually spoken to.
• Roles are the agencies’. Listings are posted by independent recruiting agencies. We don’t employ you, guarantee a role, an interview or a salary, and we aren’t a party to your arrangements with an agency or an employer. Salary bands and company names are shown as the agency provided them.
• Messages. We’ll email you about your account, applications and the companies you’re put forward to. Job alerts can be switched off from any alert email or your profile; WhatsApp alerts are sent only if you switch them on.
• You can delete your profile at any time from your profile page.

Agencies that publish on Sonder Jobs are responsible for their listings being genuine and lawful, and may not charge job seekers any fee for roles found through Sonder.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what your paid plan includes, we’ll tell you in advance so you can cancel before your next renewal.

11. Suspension and ending

• You can stop using Sonder and cancel your plan at any time.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the Service or other customers at risk, or isn’t paid for. Where we reasonably can, we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to export Your Data.

12. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and scoring methods, belongs to us. These terms let you use it while your account is active; they don’t transfer ownership. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.

13. Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profits, revenue, placements or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

14. Indemnity

You’ll cover our reasonable costs if a claim is brought against us because of Your Data, or because you used the Service in breach of these terms or the law.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date. For significant changes, we’ll email workspace owners at least 15 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the updated terms apply.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, please write to us so we can try to resolve the issue.
